Eyub Sultan Mosque Istanbul [Constantinople. Eyoub]

The Eyup Sultan Mosque was build by Mahomet II (Mohammed the Conqueror) who conquered then Constantinople in the 15th century. It was built in honor of Eyup (Ayub in Arabic), apparently the last surviving companion of the Prophet Mohammed. He died in the 7th century. The original mosque and tomb likely
