Sri Lanka's iconic animal gets a wash

Up to 40,000 elephants graced the country more than a century ago; today there may be less than 2,000 of these giant mammals left in Sri Lanka. Then as now elephants performed a number of important manual tasks like moving logs and transporting people through the jungle.
