Built in 1939, the Court building is a must-see tourist attraction. The Old Supreme Court of Singapore's Corinthian columns, classical look and murals by Italian artist Cavalieri Rodolfo Nolli, make it one of the finest examples of British colonial architecture in Singapore.
Facing the historical Padang grounds, it sits beside City Hall, the site of the Japanese surrender in 1945 to Lord Mountbatten during World War II. The Supreme Court of Singapore commenced operations in a new building on June 20, 2005.
