Nipa Huts or Bahay-Kubo are traditional houses found in most lowland areas of the Philippines

These local huts were generally built as one room dwellings. These houses are more enclosed for better insulation and appear a little more robust than dwellings built over streams. Common features of all huts are the steeped roof, elevated floors, and the use of readily available materials such as nipa
