An idyllic resting place in the hills of Murree, near Pakistan's capital of Islamabad
Located at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level, Murree rightly deserves the title "Queen of the Hills" and is Pakistan's favourite summer vacation spot. Located in Punjab province, Murree is famous for trekking, hiking and sight-seeing trips. Upper Topa today is also the location of the College of Army Education; formerly the Soldier's Home was a resting place for sick and wounded British soldiers.
A Soldier's Home in colonial times was the place where enlisted men recuperated from battlefield and other injuries.
