Quetta is the capital of the Pakistani province of Balochistan, and was the capital of British Baluchistan. It was also the site for a large British military training institution, established here in 1907, awhich as the Command Staff College, remains today the premiere training facility for Pakistan Army officers.
Countless British soldiers passed through Quetta, and a wide variety of postcards of the city in all seasons were dispatched around the world. The same road was shown in different seasons. K.C. Marrott was a photographer based in Karachi whose images were licensed by many Quetta-based publishers. |
