One of the well preserved heritage monuments of the British Raj, the Frere Hall in Karachi.

Built in memory of Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere who promoted a lot of economic activities for Karachi, the building is situated in the center of Karachi in what is called the Jinnah Gardens. Many civic and hstorical functions are held in this splendid example of Indo-Sarcenic architecture, a composite of Asian and European styles also found in the Indian city of Mumbai [Bombay]. Sindh and Karachi were part of the Bombay Presidency until 1932. |
