Mohenjo-daro was divided into many wards by well laid-out but often narrow lanes and alleyways
As the bends of these narrow lanes were not easy to move in, oxcarts could not reach urban neighborhoods like this one. These narrow lanes could only have been used by pack animals and pedestrians.
