The stone steps at Tokyo's Uyeno Park serve as the entrance to a zoo, galleries and museums.

Uyeno Park, opened in 1873, is famous for a variety of museums and galleries and Japan's first zoo. The zoo's main attraction is the giant panda exhibit. During the spring, the park is a very popular destination for "hanami" or (cherry blossom viewing) parties.
