Tokyo Station in Marunouchi District

Tokyo Station is the busiest train station in the country.

Opened in 1914, Tokyo Station was designed by architect Tatsuno Kingo. In 1921, Japanese Prime Minister Hara Takashi was assasinated in the station. During World War II, the majority of the station was destroyed during the fire bombing of Tokyo. Since then, it has been rebuilt and expanded several times.
