The Nanyendo temple in the Japan's first capital, Nara.
Nara became the first capital of Japan in the early 8th century and remained the premiere city for some 70 years. The city was home to several important Buddhist monasteries and remains famous for its temples. Located less an hour from Osaka, its history and temples still make it a popular visitor
