The Korakuen in Okayama is one of the most beautifully landscaped Japnese gardens

Completed in the 17th century, Korakuen was landscaped with a variety of teahouses, pavillions, shrines, and wide lawns. The gardens span over 32 acres and are watered by the nearby Asahi River. Korakuyen is a favorite destination for tea ceremonies and Noh - classical musical drama - performances.
