The Senso-ji Temple located in Asakusa is also known as Kinryuzan temple
The Senso-ji Temple, established in the 7th century, holds a statue of the Kannon Bodhisattva (the Goddess of Mercy) in gold. Two local fishermen are said to have found this statue of the Buddha. Often called Asakusa Kannon, this temple and its pagoda attract many worshipers and hosts a large Shinto festival each year.
