Built in 1901, the Kaihin-in Hotel in Kamakura utilized traditional Japanese post and beam construction.

The Kaihin-in Hotel was built in 1901 in the coastal city of Kamakura. Just south of Tokyo, the city was the political capital of Japan during the 12th century. The city remains a popular tourist destination and is frequently called the Kyoto of Eastern Japan.
