The winter season in Japan is the ideal time for skating, skiing and snow festivals
The four chief seasons of Japan are spring (March-May), summer (June-August), autumn (September-November) and winter (December-February). During the winter season, areas situated on the side of the Sea of Japan receive heavy snowfall while the climate remains dry and windy in areas near the Pacific Ocean.
This card reflects the painterly style of many Japanese postcards, the masterly use of texture and color to evoke the wistful mood of homecoming in winter. |
