The Imperial Hotel was once the most popular hotel for foreign visitors to Tokyo. With a large dining room and a glass enclosed stairwell, it was considered luxurious and palatial. The interior of the hotel was done by a student of the famous architect Josiah Condor. This advertising card from around 1910 is signed by Imperial Hotels, Ltd. Tokyo with a Telegraphic Address of Impeho TOKYO and A.B.C. Code 5th Edition, Western Union. |
