Kara-Mon of IeMitsu Nikko

Kara-Mon Gate is a part of the Toshogu Shrine in Nikko

The Toshogu Shrine was built by Nikko Toshogu as a mausoleum to deify the 16th century founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, Ieyasu Tokugawa. Kara-Mon Gate leads to the Honsha, the shrine's central complex. This gate is decorated with dragons carved on rosewood and ebony.
