Japan has a long history of warfare
Wars in Japan can be traced back to Jomon period (10,000 BCE-400 BCE).

During the feudal period, different clans were engaged in warfare to control regions of Japan. Firearms were introduced during the Azuchi-Momoyama Period in the 16th century. The cannon was apparently introduced to Japan
