In Japan, the tea ceremony has evolved over the centuries into a profound ritual
|
 |
Zen Buddhist monks introduced tea to Japan. Over time, calling friends to have tea in the afternoon became a popular activity. During these tea-sessions, the first pot of tea was usually made in the kitchen. It was a common practice to heat the first pot using a second silver pot that was kept over a small flame.
