The woman is sitting on a balcony watching the street below. Jaisalmer is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is also called The Golden City. It stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone and is crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several temples. Many of the houses and temples are
beautifully sculptured. It has many small streets, on which there are many small houses. People living in those houses watch outside activities from the balcony. Jaisalmer is located in the heart of the Thar Desert.  |
