Pallava art

King Rajasimha, of the Pallava dynasty, built this Kailasanatha temple in the early 8th century.

The Kailasanatha temple is the best structural construction of the Pallava ruler Rajasimha. The temple is mainly constructed of sandstone and is integrated into a coherent complex. Mainy Shiva images adorn the outer walls. It is four storied and is an example of sandharaprasada containing two walls
