The Rajmahal (Jaisalmer palace) was the palace of the rulers of Jaisalmer. The Raj Mahal is a seven-storey palace and one of the oldest in Rajasthan. The Raj Mahal, inside the Jaisalmer fort is popular for its lattice -work. Its construction started around 1500 A.D.
Jaisalmer is a town in the Indian
state of Rajasthan. It is also called The Golden City. It is stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone and is crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several temples. Many of the houses and temples are beautifully sculptured. These are among the most interesting tourist attractions of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is located in the heart of the Thar Desert.
