Tukht Hill, better known as Takht-e-Suleiman hill, offers a wonderful view of the Srinagar. The famous Shankaracharya Temple, regarded as the oldest shrine of the Kashmir valley, tops this hill. This temple is located at an elevation of 1100 feet above the city. Lord Shiva is the presiding deity of the Shankaracharya Temple.
