Moti Masjid within the Agra Fort complex is also called Pearl Mosque
The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan used Moti Masjid as his private mosque. It was constructed in the mid-17th century. The long corridor of this mosque has beautiful colonnades which were a popular subject for 19th century albumen photographers, from Samuel Bourne in the 1860s onwards. Many postcard publishers offered variants of this image as well, from Tucks to H.A. Mirza and The Phototype Co.
