The tomb of Itmad-ud-Doula is a classic example of Mughal architecture

Itmad-uud-Doula was the chief minister of Jahangir and member of a ruling group that included Nur Jahan the Emperor's wife, Itmad-uud-Doula, courtier Asaf Khan and Khurram, son of Jahangir, and later Emperor Shah Jehan.
The tomb of Itmad-uud-Doula is believed to be the structure that inspired the Taj Mahal.
