Overflow Hassain Sagur Tank, Secunderabad

Hazrat Husain Shah Wali built Hussain Sagar Lake on a tributary of the Musi River in 1562

This 24 kilometer long lake is also called the Tank Bund. Hassain Sagur Tank was constructed to satisfy the water and irrigation requirements of this central Indian city next to Hyderabad. Although sent in 1910, the postcard dates from the pre-undivided back period, around 1904.
