Botanical Gardens, Calcutta

The Botanical Gardens of Kolkata were established by Lieutenant Colonel Robert Kyd in 1787
The Botanical Gardens on the west bank of the Hooghly (Ganga) River are the oldest and largest of their kind in South and South East Asia. Home to thousands of trees and species, it remains one of India's premiere horticultural institutes.
