Oldest college in Bombay
Elphinstone College, Mumbai is one of the oldest colleges in the University of Mumbai system. It is named after Mountstuart Elphinstone, the Governor of Bombay from 1819 to 1827. The college is located in the Kala Ghoda area of downtown Mumbai and has produced many famous alumni.
