Wardley House was used as the first office of HSBC (then called Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Company) from 1865 to 1882. In 1886, the office was rebuilt. The new structure had two buildings. One of these buildings on Queen's Road Central was built in Victorian style and is shown here. It lasted until the
