The Pagoda of Wat Poh is famous for its colossal statue of the Reclining Buddha
This Buddhist temple, in Phra Nakhon district of Bangkok, was constructed roughly 200 years ago. Wat Poh houses over one thousand Buddha images. It also takes pride in being the abode of the Reclining Buddha, one of the largest single Buddha statues in Thailand. The two walled compounds of Wat Pho are split in two by Soi Chetuphon that runs east-west. The walled compound on the north plays home to the reclining Buddha and massage school. Tukgawee, the southern compound, is a working Buddhist monastery with a school and also has monks in residences.
