The River Jordan

The Jordan River fulfills a major part of the water requirements of the country of Jordan

The Jordan River, 251 kilometers in length, is the world's longest salt water river. This river has four tributaries namely the Hasbani, Dan, Iyon and Banias. Historically, the Jordan River is considered to be one of the most sacred rivers of the world, venerated by Christians and Jews.
